One Sunday afternoon, I asked my husband to bring me to the hospital because my ear is aching and I think I have an ear infection. While waiting for our turn at the emergency room, I saw my childhood friend pass by. I asked her what is she doing in the hospital. She said that she is suspected to have mesothelioma. Having no idea what it was, all I was able to say was that I hope she’s negative from it. When I went home I checked it in the internet and learned that it was rare form of cancer that develops in the mesothelial cells.
