Reciprocal links - will they help?

One of the important factors in ranking well on search engines such as Google is ensuring that you have a number of links pointing from other websites to your website. Website links can be a confusing thing, there are many terms used to describe them including one way links, reciprocal links, backlinks, inbound links but to explain what I’m talking about here - lets say you own ACME Shoe Sales, and you are on another website say www.great-aussie-footwear.com and you see a link that says “Visit ACME Shoe Sales” and you click on it - and it takes you to the ACME Shoe Sales, then this helps the ranking of ACME Footwear.

The Right Keywords For Increased Traffic

Do you know what the best way is to get a lot of free traffic?

Getting ranked on the first page of search engines is the ultimate way to increase your traffic.

But the only way your going to get ranked on the first page is by having a successful SEO (search engine optimization) campaign. Picking the right keywords you will optimize for is the first and crucial step to a successful SEO campaign. If you fail on this very first step, the road ahead is very bumpy and most likely you will only waste your money and time. There are many ways to determine which keywords to optimize for and usually the final list of them is made after a careful analysis of what the online population is searching for, which keywords have your competitors chosen and above all - which are the keywords that you feel describe your site best. All of this is great and certainly this is the way to go but if you want to increase your chances of success, additional research is never too much, especially when its results will save you the shots in the dark.

Here are the plans you should go by:

Locate Which Keywords/Key phrases are searched for a good number of times for. First of all copy and paste this link into your web browser: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ Create a list of keywords you would like to dominate. Make sure they go with your site. Put all of the keywords you created into the tool above. From those keywords, pick the ones that are searched for a few hundred times a day. Narrow the keywords/key phrases down to about 4 or 5 total.

Research the 4 or 5 Keywords/Key phrases You Came up with for total Market Domination!! Just put the keywords you have and put them in the tool located at the following link (copy and paste intok web browser): http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/keyword-difficulty/ Keep track which of the keywords have the easiest difficulty level. Now all you have to do is pick which 2 or 3 keywords are the easiest difficultly level. Hint: If none of the keywords are below 60%, pick new ones.

Add Your Keywords to your Site. Now that you have your keywords, all you have to do is use those keywords in the text on your website where ever you can. Warning: Be careful not to use them to much, because search engines will notice and erase your site from their pages. Also add your keywords to all of your ads.

Submit your URL to Search Engines. This is not something you have to do because search engine spiders will find your site by themselves, but that usually takes quite a while. You can either submit your site manually or you can find a web service that will submit your site for you. A site that I recommend is: http://www.engineseeker.com/ (copy and paste link into web browser) They have an awesome program!
Now you know the first step to a successful SEO campaign!! Good luck and happy advertising!!
